Brigadier General John McMahon, Commander of the South Pacific Division, toured the Pajaro River project area to gather a firsthand account of those locations protected by USACE levees, and to gain a better understanding of the areas that will be affected by project construction. The General also met with local public dignitaries over dinner to discuss the project.
Eric Hansen from the Federal Office of Management and Budget also visited Pajaro River project sites to better understand the project. He was able to see how the USACE project affects both local residents and infrastructure, and how the adjacent rural and urban areas will be impacted by future project work.
